About AMVETS Riders Chapter 6, IA
We The AMVETS RIDERS are a dedicated and patriotic group of motorcycle riders who hold true to an unwavering respect for our Nation, our Flag, and our Military past, present and future. We are committed to the freedom of this Nation, to provide community service and fellowship, and to preserve and support the aims and goals of the AMVETS National Organization.
AMVET Riders Chapter 6 is located in Cedar Rapids, IA is chartered by the AMVET organization.
A member must be an AMVET in good standing and the legally registered motorcycle owner or spouse of the owner within the state of registration. The member must show a valid State Driver’s License with a motorcycle endorsement along with PROOF of insurance to the Chapter President and at least one additional elected officer.
There are no honorary memberships in the AMVETS Riders.
To join AMVETS Riders Chapter 6, you will need to attend one of the monthly meetings or contact one of our members. You must FIRST be a member in good standing of the AMVETS or the Sons of AMVETS or the AMVETS Auxiliary before you can be a Rider. You can use the Contact us button on this page to get sponsored.
AMVETS Riders Supporters
We also have a small cadre of AMVETS Riders Supporters. The supporters are members of AMVETS and are non-motorcycle riders that want to support and take part in raising money for VETS through the AMVETS Riders Chapter. They assist where they can and may drive support vehicles in support of a distance ride. Their uniform is the same as the riders with the exception their vest indicates they are a supporter.
